Tree supports welding themselves to PLA overhangs

Support interface looks almost as good as the model, which is the problem: it takes pliers to remove. Using a 0.4 nozzle and 0.2 layers. Would you change top Z distance or interface density first?

Top Z distance first. It is the cleaner lever for removability. If the underside becomes too rough, then bring some interface density back rather than making the interface very dense from the start.
