Nozzle drags across infill but Z height looks correct

On larger prints I can hear occasional scraping as the nozzle crosses infill. First layer and wall dimensions look fine. Is this usually infill pattern/curling rather than a Z-axis issue?

GyroidGuy

Grid infill can cross itself and build high spots. Gyroid is a useful test because it avoids same-layer crossings. If scraping disappears, I would not chase the Z axis.

Also watch for corners curling upward before the scrape. A nozzle hitting curled material sounds very similar to a pure Z problem.
